POTD: Broccoli lover!

Owen has become quite the adventurous eater...as long as he can be Mr. Independent and feed himself. His favorites are still vegetables and anything green! He tried broccoli for the first time tonight & could not get enough! I made him his very own "baby mac & cheese." It was stuffed with noodles, cheese, and LOTS of veggies...with one of the many vegetables being broccoli! He was ALL smiles the entire time he was eating, picking the broccoli out of the pasta FIRST to eat it before eating the noodles and other vegetables! From the looks of it, Owen is going to be a MUCH better eater than Mr. Picky Cameron!

 

POTD: My first chicken tender!

Owen enjoyed his very first chicken tender a few days ago! We had a picnic lunch from Chick-fil-A :) He ate a whole chicken tender, all of his fruit cup, and peas. Such a big boy & such a GREAT eater!!! :)

Sweet Sunshine!

We have been enjoying a lot of time outside this week! Lots of sunshine, water, walks, trips to the park, and fun! Yesterday, it was above 80 degrees! We got to play in the water table, have popsicles, and play outside ALL afternoon! Owen LOVES popsicles, LOVES the water table, and LOVES playing outside...just like big brother Cameron!

These pictures capture the afternoon perfectly! Owen is so interested in everything that Cameron does & imitates most everything...splashing & giggling! :) ENJOY!

POD #9: Not sure I like the looks of this...

Owen has been showing EVERY sign of waiting to move around with his big brother & Sadie....to the point of becoming frustrated at times b/c he can't quite figure things out. Don't get me wrong, I fully want him to grow & develop his motor skills...but I'm not sure that I am fully prepared and ready to have TWO MOBILE CHILDREN plus a DOG running around my house. It is a zoo already, I can only imagine what is to come when Owen is thrown in the mix of movement :) :) :) :)

 

Happy 8 months to Owen!

We are finally back online! Life has taken over lately, so I haven't had a spare second to update our websites. Things are settling down again, so we should be back for good :) A lot has happened since I last posted. Owen is 8 months old!! Can you believe it, EIGHT MONTHS! Wow, how times flies. He is has officially transitioned from quite little newborn to noisy, silly, happy baby!

His current loves are:
*His big brother Cameron
*Sadie
*Musical instruments & music
*Soft, fuzzy blankets :)
*Eating veggies & anything he can feed himself (Puffs, finger foods, Cheerios)
*Rolling around all over the place!
*Looking at himself in the mirror
*Bathtime!!
*His walker & jumperoo

He is completely different that Big Brother Cameron. I have to trick him into eating fruits, he is a veggie lover!! However, he loves eating cut up fruits (mandrin oranges, bananas).

He is such a HAPPY baby! :) :) :) We are so blessed!

Owen is officially on the move in his walker! He just loves to scoot around the house & play with all the toys on the front of the walker! Oh my, the thought of TWO CHILDREN MOVING is a little scary at the moment! Ahhh....

Owen is starting to show interest in grabbing the spoon and trying to feed himself. He is doing a pretty good job! Not too messy, yet....

 

But, these days are in the near future for us :)

I'm learning to sit up! Although I still fall over to the side after 5-10 seconds, I'm getting stronger and stronger everyday! As always, I like to have a big smile on my face in EVERYTHING I do! :) Happy baby!!

So, I'm going to try something a little different with trying to keep up with posting pictures. I am going to post a "picture of the day" (abbreviated POTD) each day on both sites....then I will do at least 1 collage every weekend. The reason I am falling so far behind is because I cannot find time to edit & arrange collages. I think by just posting a "Picture of the day," then catching up each weekend with collages I will be able to showcase MORE pictures of my sweet boys & keep up with all the pictures I take. So, here goes....

...is it me or does 2 month old Cameron look the EXACT same size or maybe even bigger than 5 month old Owen?? I'll let you decide.

 

On the move!

As of Monday 11/8, Owen is officially ON THE MOVE! He FINALLY rolled over for the 1st time & is trying to scoot along the floor to get to his toys & big brother Cameron. I would venture to say we are going to enter into a whole new world of raising 2 boys within the next few months---a world of two MOBILE curious boys! Please help us :) :)

I know this is a little delayed, but better late than never--right? Happy Halloween from our little pumpkin! :) Please bare with me as I attempt to get up-to-date with my postings :)

 

Owen stayed home with Daddy to help pass out candy to all the other trick-or-treaters! Judging from the look on his face, I don't think he was upset about that at all! I know I say this all the time, but he is the SWEETEST, HAPPIEST baby in the world! We are sooo blessed!
